A 2nd start.....and countdown to Open Studios!

After much nudging, coercing and gentle persuasion I finally joined the world of blogging back in February, only to lose all internet connection 3 days later for over 2 months. However, I shamefully have only just got around to writing again! There is no excuse for not continuing with the blog as I did regain internet in May, but just lost the momentum!
I do now have a great excuse for re-starting a blog, as I have a fantastic revamped website. So, for those that missed the inaugural first posting...just to recap - Many thanks for initially encouraging me to pen a blog go to Ellen O'Hara and Abigail Branagan, two lovely ladies working for Cockpit Arts,  Abigail Brown and Allison Wiffen fellow makers at Cockpit Arts and to my friend Claire, for her inspiration over cups of tea (with beautiful handknitted cosy by Claire) samosas and yummy lemon cake...
So here goes for my first (re-gurgitated second time) blog and I am going to make a gentle re-start by introducing a few images of my lovely studio in Deptford where I work with glass....as you can see I love colour..and we all need colour to cheer us as we are plunged into darker evenings now that winter is enveloping us...
Also my studio is being overhauled this week, as it's countdown to our Winter Open Studios, so the studio (along with me) is getting sorted, spruced up and thoroughly cleaned to look at its best for all the visitors who will be coming along...It's Dec 2nd-4th and is a wonderful weekend, especially for us makers, as we are all in together and get to see what we have been making! for more info see the Cockpit Arts website http://www.cockpitarts.com/. Will post some photos of the studio looking sparkling and festive next time...
